By: Samantha Inkelaar & Dawt Par
We started our interview with our first question, “What events are coming up,” our first interviewee Bella Pack answered with, “Nothing is set in stone yet, but I think we're going to have a dodgeball tournament and a food drive.” Our second interviewee, Ms Blinzler, said, “We will be hosting our halloween dodgeball tournament on October 28th, fifth through seventh hour.” The interviewer asked the second question, “How do you want these events to go,” Ms Blinzler replied with, “I hope that everyone had fun while we're hosting the events so it goes for a better school experience.” Bella responded with, “I hope that it can be pretty successful and be enjoyable for everyone.” Finally we ask our last question, “How would you like new members to join?” Ms Blinzler answered with, “I think that we have a great group of student council members and not only do they want to have fun, they take it seriously.” And Bella said, “I feel like the more voices and more people we have the better our council would be.”

By: Samamtha Inkelaar & Dawt Par
“What events have your group been to?” Samantha asked, Ms. Ziler responded with, “We haven’t been to any events because we just had our first meeting a while ago,” while Shaye Prater said, “We just had our first meeting thursday. We got in a group and drew different types of writing and next week we come and show our writing.” Afterwards, Sam questioned, “How do you feel about this club so far?” Shaye answered with, “I love it, I actually asked for it to be a class but since Ms. Ziler is booked on classes we decided for it to be a club,” on the other hand Ms. Ziler replied, “I'm really excited we have a writing club, we have some really good writers.” Finally, Sam asked, “How would you feel about new members?” and Shaye had responded with, “I love to have new members. Last week we had 6 members so it’d be really awesome to have new people,” however Ms. Ziler had said “We would love to have some more people in the writing club if there were more people to join in. Right now it's just a high school writing club.”

Come Help the Student Council
By: Samantha Inkelaar & Dawt Par
Q: What events do you, student council members, plan on participating in?
Jana Parrigon: “We’re gonna help with football homecoming. Then in November we're in charge of the veteran’s day assembly.”
Hayden Karamer: “We started out with our food pantry. We have fundraisers for it. We started out on donations. We went out to some churches .Well also do homecoming basketball. We do the veterans assembly we have the speaker come out we’re for one this year”
Jersey Price: “we work veterans day assembly and basketball homecoming. The student pantry is what we're working on all year. We're still taking in as many donations. Ofc when veterans day comes closer we’ll work on that”
Q: How are you hoping things will turn out for everyone in the group?
Jana Parrigon: “I hope that students get involved with football homecoming, and I hope students enjoy honoring the veterans at the veterans day ceremony.”
Hayden Karamer: “We're hoping the pantry kicks off and people don’t have to worry about what they’re gonna need. That’s important for student life. We’re the student body so we’re here to make student’s day to day life better. We’re hoping to get homecoming to be a little bit more formal. The past few years it hasn’t been the best. We're trying to get more people to come. Try to have more games. We’ll try to have the special olympics to get off.”
Jersey Price: “For the student pantry I'm hoping we can get it big enough and have as many things in there as possible so it can continue for many years to come. Because in Pierce city there’s a lot of students in need, I’m hoping it stays for at least a few years. Veterans day always goes well. We have a Basketball homecoming”
Q: How would you personally feel about new students joining the HS student council?
Jana Parrigon: “Currently we are doing elections for the freshmans. We’ve done 10-12 graders elections in the spring and then we allow new members to join in the fall.”
Hayden Karamer: “I think it’s a good opportunity for everyone. It gives you a lot of speaking skills. It’s rewarding to get in here. I enjoy it, I think everyone should try it.”
Jersey Price: “I have no problem with new students joining the student council. I think it’s better. New people are always welcome.“
